We protect our wetlands and native prairie habitat in partnership with U.S. Department of Interior's Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service. Together we are conserving and restoring habitats-at-risk.
Bradshaw's lomatium (Lomatium bradshawii), otherwise known as Bradshaw's desert parsley, is listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act. This rare, perennial plant is known to occur at only two locations in Marion County: Kingston Prairie Preserve, which is owned and operated by Greenbelt Land Trust, and our property - Sublime Organics.
Weed control (scotch broom, tansy ragwort, thistle) is a constant activity on our farm. Because we do not use herbicides, pulling tenacious weeds by hand keeps us busy.
